Job Opportunity: Year 1 Maternity Cover Teacher
Location: Wimbledon, South West London
School: Two Form Entry Primary School
About Us: We are looking for a Year 1 Teacher to join us after the Easter break for an April start to cover a maternity leave in Year 1.
Position Available: Year 1 Maternity Cover Teacher
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality teaching and learning experiences to Year 1 students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that supports the well-being and academic growth of all students.
- Collaborate with colleagues to contribute to the development and delivery of an engaging and creative curriculum.
- Maintain effective communication with parents
- Uphold the school's values and ethos
Requirements:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and relevant KS1 teaching experience.
- Strong understanding of the primary curriculum, particularly in Key Stage 1
- ECTs who have completed a placement in KS1 are also encouraged to apply (ECT support will be given)
- Ability to create a calm and supportive learning environment.
- Demonstrated commitment to kindness, empathy, and nurturing the well-being of students.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills.
