We at ASQ Education are looking to recruit a SEND Learning Support Assistant to assist within the SEND department of a superb school located in South-East London. The role is currently open and would require you to start as soon as possible.

To be considered for this role you must have relative experience working with children and young people either in schools, colleges or HEIs. The school are willing to take on graduates, however, would prefer an individual who has relative SEN experience for this role. The position is available to start ASAP and runs until the end of the academic year.

 

The Role

The position is based within a school in South London and has cutting-edge facilities for its staff & pupils. The school are hugely proud of its team of LSAs and is looking to recruit an individual who is dependable and grounded. There is also an opportunity that the school could decide to take you on permanently.

This is a role that necessitates you to have a real desire to support young and vulnerable pupils during their time in school. This is a school that will value the work you do and how you do it. The school aims to make a positive difference to its pupils every day. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a leading role in helping to contribute to the daily learning experiences and overall student development.

 

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you must be able to demonstrate:

  • Experience and knowledge of working within a SEND department or working with pupils who may have learning differences (Desirable)
  • The ability to support your key students in multiple settings: 1:1, within group settings and inside the classroom environment
  • To use your initiative and lead by example
  • To be friendly and professional in your approach to staff & pupils alike
  • You must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • You must always carry yourself in a friendly and professional manner
  • Psychology graduates and graduates who are looking to train to become teachers are hugely desirable!
