Description

We’re looking for experienced and passionate Room Leaders to join our vibrant nurseries across South London. In this role, you’ll lead a team to deliver outstanding care and education for children aged 0–5, using your EYFS expertise to create engaging learning environments. You’ll support staff development, ensure safeguarding standards, and foster a culture of creativity and inclusion. The Role

As Room Leader, you'll oversee a specific age group within the nursery, guiding your team to deliver high-quality care and education in line with the EYFS framework. You'll plan engaging activities, monitor children's progress, and ensure a safe, nurturing environment. A key part of your role is preparing children for school by promoting independence, communication, and early literacy and numeracy skills. You'll also support staff development and maintain strong partnerships with parents.

The ideal candidate

  • Level 3 Early Years Educator qualification
  • Safeguarding training and a clear understanding of child protection protocols
  • Enhanced DBS check
  • Experience in nursery or early years settings, typically 2+ years, with proven ability to lead a team and manage a room
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum
  • Leadership or supervisory experience in a childcare setting
  • Ability to plan and deliver age-appropriate learning activities
  • Excellent communication and team management skills
