Montessori Teacher – Islington 

This is an exciting opportunity for a committed Montessori Teacher to join a professional and supportive team at a welcoming nursery school in Islington.  This is a permanent, year-round position that is available to start as soon as possible!

The role
As a Montessori Teacher, you will provide high-quality care and Montessori education to children aged 0-5, create a safe and nurturing environment for children to learn and grow and observe and assess children's development, identifying any areas of concern. You should be confident with collaborating with parents and other staff members to support children's individual needs and being able to maintain accurate records of children's progress and development.

The ideal candidate
The nursery believes the quality of staff is crucial to pupils’ success and therefore you must have the following:

  • Minimum Level 3 Montessori Pedagogy qualification (or other full and relevant Montessori qualification)
  • Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with children
  • Paediatric First Aid and CPR certification (preferred)
  • Knowledge of relevant regulations and legislation governing childcare (e.g., Safeguarding)
