We are searching for Learning Support Assistants who are available to start from September in outstanding modern schools within South London. ASQ Education currently has roles that are set to open from September across South London, including London Boroughs of Bromley, Lewisham, Lambeth and Wandsworth. If you have relative experience working within schools or colleges this could be the role for you. We also welcome graduates of any discipline to apply!

The position is available to start in September and runs for the whole of the academic year.

 

The Role

The role is in a brilliant co-ed school within the thriving London Borough of Lambeth. The school are hugely proud of its team of Learning Support Assistants and is looking to bring someone in who is similarly proud of the work they do; the applicant must be dependable and grounded.

There is also an opportunity that the school could take you on permanently, depending on your work performance. This is a position that requires you to have a real desire to help and support young people.

This is a school that values what you do and how you do it. The school aims to make a positive difference in its children every day. As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a leading role in helping to contribute to their daily learning experiences and overall character development.

 

The Ideal Candidate

To be considered for this role, you must demonstrate to the school:

  • Experience and knowledge of working closely with SEN pupils with mild to severe learning differences (Desirable)
  • The ability to support your key students in multiple settings: 1 on 1, within small groups and inside the classroom environment
  • To use your initiative and be a leading example for pupils and colleagues alike
  • To be friendly and professional in your approach to the work you do
  • To demonstrate a patient and understanding attitude when working with young and vulnerable children
  • To carry yourself appropriately and with a smile
  • You must have excellent time management and organizational skills
  • Psychology graduates and graduates who are looking to become teachers are hugely desirable!
