Are you a reliable and proactive caretaker looking for your next opportunity? We’re recruiting on behalf of our client for a Caretaker / Premises Assistant to join a busy premises team. This is a hands-on, varied role where you’ll be responsible for maintaining a safe, clean, and welcoming environment across the site. This is a 3 month contract starting ASAP.
The Role
As part of the premises team, you’ll support the efficient and effective running of the site by ensuring high standards of health & safety, security, maintenance, cleaning, and porterage. You’ll also assist with facilities support for external bookings and events, ensuring everything runs smoothly and professionally.
Key Responsibilities

Maintain a safe, secure, and well-presented site at all times

Carry out regular inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns

Perform light DIY and decorating tasks to maintain the building’s appearance

Set up halls and shared spaces for daily use and external events

Undertake cleaning duties, including periodic deep cleans, to a high standard

Act as a key holder and respond to call-outs when required

Assist with deliveries, furniture movement, and general site duties

Provide on-site support during events and lettings (some evening/weekend work required)

Operate site equipment and ensure it is properly maintained

Act as a Fire Marshal and uphold health & safety compliance
About You
